More About Strategic Planning The Process The strategic planning process involves a series of preliminary meetings to define the vision, mission, and values of the organization. Once these are defined the actual strategic planning begins. Each Critical Success Factor is defined in detail with each action step needed for the executives of the company to achieve the organizational goals. The strategic planning then becomes individualized based on the organization’s specific needs. The plan can involve job descriptions, performance reviews, organizational charts, systems for smoother operations, and more. A specific plan of action contributes to long-term, sustainable success.
