About Joan Fletcher

Joan Fletcher"I love to be part of making a positive difference in a business and/or an individual. One of my goals years ago was to work full-time doing what I love. I have met this goal!"

The founder of Winning Ways, Inc., Joan Fletcher has almost 20 years of in-depth experience in performance improvement. She has owned her own company for 18 years, so her leadership experience comes first-hand as well as from working with clients in a variety of industries.

She has worked in school divisions in Maryland, DC and Virginia, training teachers in learning strategies, teacher effectiveness, curriculum development, and other skills. She has conducted hundreds of training sessions for groups throughout the DC area, impacting thousands of people, and is recognized as an excellent motivational speaker.

The Winning Ways approach uses materials and research developed by Resource Associates Corporation (RAC). As a certified RAC affiliate, Joan is trained to use RAC researched materials. She attends quarterly sessions to maintain continual contact with the researchers and authors of RAC materials and to connect with other RAC affiliates as they successfully interact with thousands of organizations around the world.

Joan's enthusiasm, energy and experience are evident from the first meeting to the last training session. She is passionate about her work, and loves to see her clients' increased satisfaction and effectiveness after identifying their core goals and values. Her belief in the Winning Ways processes and the RAC process is apparent in how she conducts business day-to-day. She is creative and able to tailor her approach to a particular company's needs, and she is willing to take risks to help you achieve your goals. Those who have gone through her training programs enjoy her facilitation skills and her ability to make each participant feel valued and listened to.

Joan is an active participant in the Vienna-Tysons Regional Chamber of Commerce and Business Networking International. She spends her personal time with her husband and two children. She also devotes a significant amount of time working with families living in poverty.
