Certified as a Sales Professional and as a Facilitator by the National Association of Home Builders, Betsy has held leadership positions in sales and marketing with the leading home building companies, including Pulte Homes and Centex Homes. In her 18 years in this field, she has earned a reputation for her ability to motivate both clients and team members to set and achieve goals. She has been recognized with a number of awards for her sales, leadership and dynamic training ability. She is committed to the philosophy of helping organizations excel by focusing on their people. With commitment, coaching, and courage, she believes every individual can reach their potential. and when team members are motivated by the integration of their personal and professional goals, everybody wins!

As a member of the Winning Ways team, Betsy enjoys the opportunity to maximize her talents to help people improve their professional productivity and their lives. Her work allows her to not only draw on her many years of management, sales, and training experience, but also utilizes her academic background of a B.S. in Education from the University of Virginia. She believes in the Winning Ways process, a comprehensive practice incorporating the most effective development and improvement techniques available, such as goal achievement, attitude and skill enhancement, and personal leadership. While helping her clients achieve their goals, in 2007 Betsy achieved her own goal of completing certification as a Professional Coach.

The Winning Leadership Process is not limited to corporate executives. Betsy is passionate about bringing the Rising Stars Youth Leadership Program to youth in the Northern Virginia and D.C. Metro area, working with government agencies, community organizations, and corporations dedicated to promoting positive youth development. Patterned after the adult leadership process, this innovative curriculum spent 5 years in research before being offered to participants across the country. When asked about the "purpose" of Rising Stars, she responded that it is to "Instill in each child the belief the he or she can create any quality of life or level of success, regardless of background, family situation, or financial resources, by setting goals, designing an action plan, managing attitudes, and developing potential."

Betsy practices what she preaches, developing her own potential by reading, continuing education, and maintaining a consistent fitness program. She also enjoys a lifelong connection to the beaches of the Eastern Shore, where she spends free weekends at her condo and visiting friends. Other favorite pastimes include exploring new places, investigating new restaurants, and learning new ways to do things---in business and in life always challenging the status quo!
